Claire Elliott is an actor, writer, director and educator. Her work as a performer and director spans theater, television and film. She is recognized for her interdisciplinary approach to making grounded and visceral work, incorporating processes of devising, multimedia and movement on both stage and screen.
Claire has served as a teaching artist, guest lecturer, director and faculty member at colleges, conservatories, schools and theater programs across the world and the U.S. including, California Institute of the Arts, Fordham University Lincoln Center, UCLA Extension, Eastern Connecticut State University, Crossroads School Drama Conservatory, The 24th Street Theater, Heart of Los Angeles Youth, The Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles, The School for Creative and Performing Arts, Great Books Summer Program at Stanford University, BRIDGE Theater Project, and more.
She is currently working on her first collection of poetry, All The Way Down, a series of autobiographical poems and short essays exploring generational trauma, the lasting impacts of war on veterans and families, love, endings, rage, and the unexpected blessings that come when we hit bottom.
Her full-length play, Nice Guy, is in development and received its first reading at The Marsh Theater in Berkeley in December 2025.
She holds an MFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts.
